Franchising

Every business success story begins with the customer.

If an entrepreneur can bring a new restaurant concept to the marketplace that fills a genuine consumer void or need, and do it with a high quality product at a fair price, then he or she is almost certain to succeed.

Nothing but Noodles recognizes a consumer need – a need for something different – something high quality that is prepared fresh and served quickly and professionally in a non-tipping, relaxed, and memorable atmosphere.

Nothing but Noodles is a fast-casual restaurant dedicated to providing the highest quality, best tasting, made to order noodle and global pasta dishes available.  We fill the void between the typical fast-food outlet that so many people frequent due to lack of choices and time constraints and a full service dining experience that is both costly and time consuming.  Within 15 minutes of entering the store, customers are enjoying a wok-seared bowl of noodles or a garden fresh salad served in one of our heavy ceramic china bowls.

Serving cuisine that draws on a variety of cultural influences from around the world, including Asian, European, Mediterranean, and American, Nothing but Noodles offers something for every member of the family to enjoy!

Owning your own Nothing but Noodles is easier than you think.  Why wait?

Over the years, as franchisees, the partners of Nothing but Noodles have invested in several different concepts and have had both positive and negative experiences.  They have had many successes and, on occasion, disappointments.  They have had great support from particular franchisors and, in some circumstances, no support at all.  The partners have experienced every situation possible as franchisees, ranging from being nitpicked, pressured and misled to respected, praised and awarded.

Needless to say, they know the intricacies of franchising:  mistakes to avoid, what works and what doesn’t. They know what your concerns are and have built a company that places your needs first.  The partners know that their success is achieved through your success and are confident that Nothing but Noodles is a quality concept that you will be proud to be a part of.

This company is a culmination of their experience and belief that work should be fun, profitable and rewarding.

To discover if Nothing but Noodles is right for you, please take the time to fill out the application and return it to Noodles Development, LP as soon as possible.

Don’t wait!  Exciting times are in your future!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the restaurant niche-segment positioning known as 'fast-casual'?

“Fast-casual” is the latest trend in restaurant categories. Compared to quick service (fast-food), the fast-casual segment offers concepts that offer higher quality menu items, served in a more aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that rivals casual-dining competitors, while guest check averages are significantly less. The food is ordered at the counter, beverages are self-serve, and the completed food order is brought to your table with a smiling face.

Would I make a good franchisee?

Nothing but Noodles seeks solid, experienced business individuals or partners who are interested in owning and operating their own restaurant business. Franchise owners are ideally hands-on individuals, experienced in full service or QSR restaurants, who take pride in building their own business and serving a quality product in their respective communities. If you do not have previous restaurant experience, we will require you to join with an operating partner or hire an experienced manager that will own an equity portion of the business entity. Total commitment is critical to achieving and maintaining successful restaurants in our system.

What are the current financial requirements to obtain a Nothing but Noodles franchise?

The minimum financial requirements are a net worth of $1,000,000 and $350,000 in liquid assets.

What types of franchise development programs are available today?

Based on your experience and financial qualifications, and your geographic preference, we offer single unit and area development agreements. Area development allows for geographic control of NBN restaurant development, assuming you maintain your scheduled openings over the period upon which we mutually agree.

What general fees are required by Nothing but Noodles?

The initial fee is $25,000 per restaurant. The royalty fee is 6% of sales generated from the restaurant, while the current advertising fee is 1% of sales. Note: we strongly encourage all franchisees to spend an additional 3.5% to 6% of sales on local marketing / advertising since the restaurant industry is extremely competitive.

What is the average size of a Nothing but Noodles restaurant?

Our current restaurant design and layout is best accommodated in 3,000-4,200 square feet, positioned in the end-cap of busy anchored retail shopping centers.

What is the length of the franchise agreement?

Ten years with two, five years options.

What is the total investment, today, in a typical Nothing but Noodles site?

Our restaurants generally locate in busy retail, strip shopping centers with the total investment ranging from $550,000 to $750,000. Freestanding restaurants will require a more substantial investment due to real estate costs, city zoning and permit requirements, sire improvements, architectural drawings, and building costs.

How long does it take to find a first-rate retail restaurant site, obtain approval from NBN for the site, and then build a Nothing but Noodles restaurant?

Depending upon availability of quality retail sites, the average length of time can range from 180 to 210 days. Your relationships and knowledge in the marketplace can expedite the site selection process. Once we obtain your site-specific information package, we will approve or not approve within 15 business days. Once you have negotiated and signed your lease, selected a contractor, and have architectural drawings, the construction process should be completed within 60 to 75 days.
